Downloading Data
Data
tables can be downloaded for manipulation in Microsoft Excel (or equivalent
software).
- Complete the necessary
quiery in the Database or Indicators sections in order to
display the relevant table on your screen.
- In the Menu bar
of your browser, select File>Save As.
- In the dialogue
box that opens, in the "File Name" option, type the name that
you would like to give to your file, and attribute the extension
".xls". (eg. "africa_indicators.xls"). Do not
change the "Save as type" or "Encoding" options.
- Select "Save".
- You can now open
the saved data file in Excel. Data that is underlined is accompanied
by a footnote. Simply click on the data's hyperlink and the footnote
will be displayed in your default browser.

Printing Data
In order
to print the data tables, simply use the File>Print option in your
Internet Browser.
Attention
: Netscape users may find that some data is cut off the edge of the
page when printing.
If you
are experiencing this problem, before printing go into the File>Page
Setup option and reduce the size slightly of the left and right hand margins.
This
should allow printing of the full page of data. Should data users experience
any further difficulties, please contact the UIS.
