[1] This calendar is subject to change and aims to give an indication of when data will be released.
[2] The reference year refers to the latest year of available data for the majority of countries, but more recent data may be provided if available. For example, for the reference year 2010, for some countries 2011 data may be provided.
[3] This release refers to updated data for OECD, Eurostat and RICYT countries. For other countries, data would be the same as published by the UIS in October 2011, but there may be some changes for finance-based indicators, depending on new finance data from the World Development Indicators (WDI).
[4] In innovation surveys, the reference period usually covers more than one year. The most frequent is a three-year reference period, but the years covered differ between countries.
