Release includes updated education finance indicators
New education data for the school year ending in 2011 are now available in the UIS Data Centre.
The UIS works closely with Member States to improve the timeliness and coverage of international education statistics. As a result of sustained efforts, results from the 2012 education survey are now available for 111 countries. In addition, the UIS has released data for 2012 for 11 countries.
The current release includes 2011 data on enrolment, teachers and related indicators for pre-primary, primary, secondary and post-secondary non-tertiary education. At the tertiary level, 2011 data are available for 75 countries.
This release also includes education finance indicators, which have been updated using the most recent economic data published by the World Bank in December 2012.
To consult the 2011 data, users can build custom tables in the UIS Data Centre by taking the following steps:
- select all countries
- select data items
- select 2011 and generate table.
The UIS will publish 2011 reference data, including regional and global averages and totals, in May 2013.
